WSU Drops 5-2 Decision to Bobcats

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- The Weber State women's tennis team wrapped up Big Sky Conference play on Saturday, suffering a 5-2 loss at the hands of Montana State at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
Montana State swept the doubles matches for the opening point and then won the final three singles matches of the day to pull away for the win.
Trailing 2-0 on the day, Naseem Eslami and Brittiny Moore each took their respective singles match to knot the score at 2-2. Eslami dropped Char Hjalmarsson 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot in the lineup, and then Moore tied the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Wena Tsan at No. 2.
From there, the Bobcats took control, winning at No. 4 and 5 in straight sets to clinch the match, and adding the fifth point on a three-set win at No. 6.
The Wildcats dropped to 4-11 overall and 3-5 in league play with the loss. Weber State will close out the 2011 season on April 20 as they host Utah State at Edman Courts.
