WSU Drops 6-1 Decision to UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. -- The Weber State men's tennis team fell to 1-3 on the season on Friday, following a 6-1 loss to UC Davis.
The Wildcats were swept in doubles, with the No. 43-ranked pairing of Simon Unger and Oliver Good falling for the first time this season with an 8-5 loss to Hugo Verdi-Fortin and Kyle Miller.
In singles, Peter Ramstromer Pello earned the lone point for the Wildcats on the day, defeating Josh Albert 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 4 match.
Unger and Dave Hintze each rallied from a one-set deficit to force a third set, but both dropped their matches in the deciding frame.
The Wildcats will finish up their two-match road swing on Saturday as they open up Big Sky Conference play against the Sacramento State Hornets.
