'Cats Fall to Louisiana Tech

OGDEN, Utah -- Weber State returned to action on Sunday, falling to Louisiana Tech 6-1 at the Ogden Athletic Club.

"I'm very proud of how hard the girls played today," said WSU head coach Jonas Ehrlin. "We played very good in singles. We had several very close matches, but we just came up short in them."

Thais Kurer defeated Maartje de Wit in straight sets, winning 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 6 match.

Brittiny Moore (No. 1 singles), Nittaya Phonharath (No. 3 singles), and Annika Karlsen (No. 4 singles) each dropped three set matches.

Weber State fell to 0-15 on the season.
