Wildcats Drop Home Match to Utah State

OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's tennis team came up short in an in-state rivalry match on Tuesday, falling 5-2 to Utah State at Edman Courts.
The Aggies swept the three doubles matches and then took the middle four singles matches to finish off the win.
Thais Kurer put the Wildcats on the board with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Julie Tukuafu in the No. 6 singles match.
Brittiny Moore scored the team's other point, rallying from a set down to defeat McKenzie Davis in the No. 1 match. Davis rolled to a 6-1 win in the opening set, but Moore fought back to earn a 7-5 win in the second set to force a deciding frame. Moore finished off the come-from-behind win, taking the third set 6-4.
The Wildcats dropped to 0-16 on the season, while Utah State improved to 8-6 on the year.
