The Weber State men's and women's cross country teams finished 34th and 31st respectively at the highly-competitive Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Saturday.
Again missing Amber Henry, the women's team was led by freshman Summer Harper who ran a time of 20:54. Sophomore Jamie Stokes clocked in at 21:03 as the second-best time for the Wildcats.
Freshman Hailey Ricks finished third for the Wildcats with a time of 21:43. The most veteran of the Wildcat crew was Amanda Ward who had a time of 22:21. That time was good enough for fourth out of the six Weber State runners.
Ward was followed by freshmen Ellie Child and Alice Keller who finished with 23:16 and 24:03 times respectively.
The men's team was led by junior Trevor Ricks who ran a time of 24:35. Ricks was followed by junior Thomas Worob who clocked in at 25:12.
Freshman Preston Johnson followed with a 25:32 time while Tyler Robinson finished fourth on the team with a time of 25:34. Senior Brett Lechtenberg checked in fifth for the Wildcats with a 26:24 time.
Lechtenberg was followed by a pair of freshmen. Jacob Calvillo finished with a time of 26:55 and Andrew Whetten rounded out the seven Wildcat runners with a time of 28:10.
Nineteen teams on the men's side were ranked, including the Big Sky's own Northern Arizona Lumberjacks who won the invitational. Arizona's women's team won it's side of the invitational.
The next time the Wildcats run will be at the Big Sky Championships in Bozeman, Montana on November 2.
