Wildcats take title at Utah State Challenge

Weber State had six of the top 10 runners to take the team title.
The Weber State women's cross country team began the 2025 season with a win at the Utah State Alumni Classic Saturday morning in Logan.
The Wildcats totaled 27 points to defeat Utah State and Idaho State in the meet. WSU had six of the top 10 runners in the meet.
Frances Hudson was WSU's top runner as she posted a time of 18:10.6 on the 5K course to finish fourth overall.
Audrey Camp Cazier was fifth at 18:15.2, followed by Lydia Felx at 18:18.7. Hailey Low was eighth with a time of 18:31.7, with Courtney Earl finishing ninth at 18:36.3 and Hannah Bailey taking 10th with a time of 18:37.1.
It was the first meet for new Wildcat head coach Lindsey Anderson, an Olympian and WSU Hall of Famer.
"I'm so proud of how our team ran today," Anderson said. "They were tough and raced smart. We had several great individual performances from both our returning athletes and our newcomers. Every single athlete contributed today in one way or another. We are excited and can't wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds."
The Wildcats will next compete next Friday at the BYU Autumn Classic in Provo.
