Women’s cross country opens 2025 season at Utah State

The meet will be the first for new Wildcat head coach Lindsey Anderson.
It's the start of a new era for the Weber State women's cross country team as the Wildcats open the 2025 season at the Utah State Invitational this Saturday in Logan.
The meet will be the first meet for Weber State Hall of Famer and Olympian Lindsey Anderson as the head coach of the Wildcat team. Anderson spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach before being named head coach this summer.
Saturday's meet will be the first of six regular season meets before the Big Sky Championships and the NCAA Mountain Region meet.
The USU meet will be a 5K with the women's race starting at 9:45 a.m. at the Steve and Dona Reeder course.
The Wildcat women's team was picked to finish third this season in the Big Sky preseason coaches poll.
Weber State was third at last year's conference meet, and the 'Cats have six returners from last year's team at the conference meet, including Saga Hagelin, Danielle Brow, Courtney Earl, and Hannah Bailey.
After Saturday's meet, Weber State has five other meets scheduled before the conference championships on November 1.
