ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The Weber State women's tennis team dropped its second-straight match on Friday, falling 6-1 to Sonoma State.
Agata Bachanek and Kristi Elmer won in doubles for the second time in as many days, defeating Sara Celma and Leire Martinez 8-4, but once again the effort went unrewarded as Sonoma State won the doubles point.
Ashley Tanner earned the lone point for Weber State. After taking the first set against Kaitlyn Haithcock 6-2, she led 3-0 in the second when Haithcock retired from the match.
Weber State dropped to 5-6 overall with the loss. The Wildcats will wrap up the current road swing with a Big Sky match against Sacramento State on Saturday.Â
