Wildcats Split Pair in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- The Weber State women's tennis team split a pair of non-conference matches over the weekend, falling 7-0 to Grand Canyon before defeating Seattle 4-3.
The split moves the Wildcats record to 6-9 on the season.
Grand Canyon made a clean sweep of Weber State on Saturday, taking all three doubles matches to go along with all six singles points.
Against Seattle on Sunday, the Wildcats won the doubles point with wins in the top two spots. Agata Bachanek and Kristi Elmer defeated Gabriella Weissmann and Sarah Lucas 8-4 at No. 1 and Thais Kurer and Nittaya Phonharath got past Kelli Woodman and Kristen James 8-6 at No. 2.
In singles play, Bachanek defeated Anna Lambert 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1, Ashley Tanner downed Barbara Carey 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2, and Kurer beat Lucas 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 4 spot.
