'Cats Fall Short in Big Sky Championship Match

GOLD RIVER, Calif. -- The Weber State men's tennis team saw its streak of wins against Big Sky opponents come to an end at 11 with a 4-0 loss to No. 2 seeded Montana in the conference championship match.
The Grizzlies took the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches to jump out early, and didn't allow the Wildcats to gain any traction in singles with straight-sets wins in the No. 3, 4 and 5 matches.
Todd Fought and Sanjay Goswami, who each dropped opening sets bounced back to lead or win his respective second set, but it was too little, too late to provide hope for a singles rally for the Wildcats.
Weber State ends the season at 15-10 overall.
