Weber State defeats Arizona Christian 5-2

The Weber State women's tennis team came out victorious over Arizona Christian and earned a 5-2 win.
The doubles point came down to the wire. Agata Bachanek and Kristi Elmer fell 6-4 to Andrea Crook and Mikayla Morgan in the No. 1 spot. Romy Dodd-Stephens and Dominique Beauvais defeated Desiree Jackson and Jessica Trink 7-6 in a close match in the No. 2 doubles spot.
With the doubles point up for grabs Megan Ridnlisbacher and Carly Lloyd took town Rafaella Zak Zak and Lulia Marcenco 6-2 in the No. 3 spot to put the Wildcats up 1-0 on the day.
Weber State carried it's momentum into singles play and picked up wins in spots one through four. Bachanek defeated Jackson 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 1 spot. Elmer defeated Crook 6-0, 7-5 in the No.2 spot. Beauvais and Stephens also picked up wins to give the Wildcats a 5-2 victory.
Weber State is now 6-5 overall on the season and remain 2-2 in the Big Sky Conference. They will remain on the road  for three more matches. Dixie State is up first Friday April 3, and then Big Sky conference play will continue Friday April 10 against Southern Utah in Cedar City.Â
