OGDEN -- Weber State kept its Big Sky Tournament hopes alive with a 74-63 win over Idaho Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.

The win moves the Wildcats to 13-15 overall and 8-9 in Big Sky Conference play with one game remaining. WSU is in eighth place and the top eight teams in the league standings will advance to the conference tournament. Southern Utah kept its hopes alive with a win over Sacramento State to remain in ninth place one game behind Weber State.

The Wildcats host Eastern Washington Saturday night in the regular season finale. If the Wildcats win Saturday, they will advance to the conference tournament. With a loss, the 'Cats would need Southern Utah to also lose at home to Portland State to secure a tournament berth.

Thursday night the Wildcats held Idaho to a season-low 63 points. The Vandals entered the game averaging 77.4 points per game. The Vandals held an early 4-2 lead when Weber State went on an 11-2 run and took a seven point lead at 13-6. Idaho cut the lead to three with 7:42 to play in the half but Weber State responded with a 10-2 run. The Wildcats led by eight points at halftime.

The 'Cats led by as many as 19 in the second half and Idaho was never closer than nine points.

Idaho shot 50 percent from the field, compared to 43 percent for Weber State but the Wildcats outrebounded the Vandals 34-23. WSU also knocked down six 3-pointers and shot 80 percent from the free throw line.

Junior Joel Bolomboy led the way with his Big Sky-best 11th double-double of the season, finishing with 22 points and 10 rebounds. He was 8-of-13 from the field and added two blocks. He now needs just one block to become Weber State's career leader. With the 10 rebounds he passed Bruce Collins for third on the WSU all-time list.

Chris Golden scored in double figures for the third-straight game, finishing with 16 points. He knocked down four 3-pointers and added a career-high five assists.

Richaud Gittens had 11 points and six assists and James Hajek had nine points and grabbed eight rebounds.
