OGDEN – The Wildcats aren't just winning on the field, they're getting it done in the classroom too.
The Weber State University women's soccer team was honored on Thursday morning by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with a 2015-16 College Team Academic Award.
The NSCAA, in its 75th year, gives the award annually to teams who maintain at least a 3.0 team GPA for the full school year.
The Wildcats were one of four Big Sky Conference schools to earn the award, and finished with the best GPA of any member of the league, checking in with a team GPA of 3.53 for the 2015-16 season.
It's the second major academic recognition award in recent months for the Wildcats, who in May were publicly recognized by the NCAA for having an Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of Division I, as Weber State boasted a perfect 1.000 APR score.
