STANFORD, Calif. -- Weber State dropped its second-straight game on the California road trip as the Wildcats fell 67-49 at Stanford Thursday night at the Maples Pavilion.

The Cardinal shot 47 percent from the field and held Weber State to just 30 percent shooting. The Cardinal outrebounded the Wildcats 43-25 and WSU was just 3 of 20 from 3-point range.

"Stanford is a really good team with a lot of veterans and they are a big team and did a good job against us defensively," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "We had good looks we just couldn't get them to go down. They beat us up on the boards as well. We fought hard and I liked how we played in the second team."

Weber State got off to a good start and led the Cardinal 15-12 with 12:27 left in the first half but Stanford closed the half on a 24-5 run and led 36-20 at halftime.

The 'Cats cut the lead to 13 points midway through the second half but could never get closer the rest of the way.

Senior Jeremy Senglin led the way with 13 points on 3 of 9 shooting. Cody John was the only other Wildcat in double figures as he finished with 10 points. Zach Braxton had seven rebounds and four points before fouling out of the game. Kyndahl Hill added seven points and Richaud Gittens had six.

Stanford improved to 3-0 on the season and was led by Reid Travis with 22 points and 15 rebounds.

The Wildcats (1-2) will next play three games in the Great Alaska Shootout starting Thanksgiving night against UC Davis. That game will begin at 10 p.m. MT Thursday night and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
