After a slow start, Weber State rolled to an 86-58 win over UC Davis late Thanksgiving night in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage. The Wildcats will face Iona in the second round Friday night in Anchorage.

UC Davis jumped out to an early 20-9 lead midway through the first half but it was all Weber State from then on. The Wildcats closed the first half on a 30-12 lead to take a 39-32 lead at the break and never looked back. WSU led by 12 midway through the second half when they went on a 22-4 run over the next seven minutes.

Dusty Baker led the Wildcats with a career-high 21 points. Baker was 7 of 8 from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range, and added six rebounds. He scored 13 of WSU's 16 points during a stretch in the second half.

Jeremy Senglin added 20 points and knocked down four 3-pointers, along with five rebounds and five assists. Cody John had 12 points and Kyndahl Hill added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Weber State shot 55 percent from the field, including 64 percent shooting in the second half. The Wildcats outrebounded the Aggies 36-23 and had a season-low nine turnovers. They also held the Aggies to 38 percent shooting.

WSU (2-2) will play Iona (1-2) in the second round of the Great Alaska Shootout Friday night at 8 p.m. AST (10 p.m. MT). The game will be tape-delayed on CBS Sports Network at midnight Mountain time. It will air live on 1430 KLO radio.
