OGDEN – Weber State women's basketball went into another overtime game but fell to North Dakota 85-78. The Wildcats had four athletes score in double figures and only had 10 turnovers on the night.

"Tonight was tough, we had some shots offensively that didn't go in that we usually knock down," head coach Bethann Ord said. "We needed to refocus coming out of half time and the girls stepped up. We don't have the size or the numbers that North Dakota has but we adjusted well and battled hard."

The Fighting Hawks had a 19-13 lead at the start of the second quarter. The Wildcats had two big steals that lead to two easy layups that tied the game at 23-23 with 6:00 left in the first half.

UND ended the second quarter on a 6-0 run that gave them a 37-34 lead at half time. The Fighting Hawks pushed their lead to eight with six minutes in the third quarter. The Wildcats brought the score within two points with four minutes left but the Hawks answered with a 7-0 run. Kailie Quinn ended the quarter with made three point bucket cutting the lead to four points for a 55-51 score.

UND continued to charge and maintained their lead. With three minutes on the clock the Wildcats tied the game at 64-64. Dionne Coe made a three pointer with 1:32 on the clock giving the Wildcats their first lead of the game at 70-68. UND quickly tied it back up at 70-70 sending the game into overtime.

UND hopped out to a 78-71 lead with three minutes left to go in overtime. Despite the Wildcats efforts, Weber State fell 85-78 in overtime.

"The biggest challenge for us tonight was getting stops at the end of the game," Deeshyra Thomas said. "Things weren't coming together for us on offense and we had to keep working hard on defense to maintain the tempo of the game."

Weber State was led by Thomas who had 19 points. Quinn had 17 points for the Wildcats and Jaiamoni Welch-Coleman had 11. Brittney Dunbar had 13 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and five steals on the night. Freshman Emily Drake led the Wildcats in rebounding with 10 on the night.

The Wildcats shot 39 percent from the field, 20 percent from the three and 77 from the free throw line. North Dakota shot 50 percent from the field, 16 percent from the three, and 70 from the free throw line. The Fighting Hawks outrebounded the Wildcats 54-29. Weber State had 10 turnovers to UND's 22.
