The Wildcats are heading to the NCAA Tournament

RENO, Nev. - The Wildcats are going dancing!! Weber State punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a 62-59 win over Montana Saturday night at the Big Sky Championship in Reno.
With the win, Weber State will head to their 16th NCAA Tournament and their second in the last three years.
“I'm just so proud of this team,” said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. “We went through so much last year but to do this is great. I'm so happy for our team and how once again, they found a way.”
The Wildcats got off to a terrific start, making 9 of their first 11 shots including four 3-pointers and led by 12 with 7:19 left in the first half. The 'Cats extended their lead to as many as 14 in the first half before a 10-0 Montana run got the Grizzlies back in the game. WSU led 41-38 at halftime.
Montana took its first lead four minutes into the second half and the game went back-and-back forth the rest of the way. WSU led by one with five seconds left when Dusty Baker caught an in-bounds play and drove in for the winning layup to clinch the title.
WSU shot 48 percent from the field and knocked down seven 3-pointers. The 'Cats had 19 assists and were 9-9 from the free throw line.
Jeremy Senglin scored 20 points to lead Weber State and was named the Tournament MVP. Ryan Richardson added 15 points on three 3-pointers. Kyndahl Hill had 10 off the bench and Joel Bolomboy had four points and nine rebounds. He was also named to the All-Tournament team.
Weber State sits at 26-8 on the season and will now wait to hear their destination at the NCAA Tournament.
Weber State will host a fan Selection Sunday show Sunday at the Dee Events Center. The selection show begins at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Fans are invited to come to the Dee Events Center to watch the selection show with the Wildcats.
