WSU takes down Sac State 4-1 in Big Sky Tournament

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Weber State men's tennis team picked up a 4-1 win over Sacramento State today advancing them to the championship round of the Big Sky tournament.
The Wildcats started the day off picking up the doubles point. Todd Fought and Jakub Gewert started the day off on a high note by defeating Donald Hall and Dom Miller 6-0 in the No. 2 spot.
Stefan Cooper and Sanjay Goswami continued their hot streak by taking down Mikus Losbergs and Kasparas Zemaitelis in a tiebreaker with a 7-6 (5-0) score in the No. 1 spot.
In the singles competition Goswami was the first Wildcat to pick up a win in the No. 6 spot. He defeated Hall 7-6 (4-0), 6-0.
Hou-En Chen then defeated Miller 7-5, 7-5 in the No. 4 spot. With the Wildcats up 3-1 they only neeed one more victory to claim the overall victory advancing them into the championship round.
Fought playd very solid tennis with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Zemaitelis in the No. 2 spot giving Weber State the 4-1 victory.
The Wildcats are now 13-7 overall on the season. Weber State will take on Idaho tomorrow in the Championship round of the Big Sky tournament.
