WSU rolls to 88-48 win in final non-conference game

OGDEN - Four players scored in double figures and Weber State led wire to wire in the final non-conference game of the year as the Wildcats beat Presentation College 88-48 Friday night at the Dee Events Center.
The win is the third straight for Weber State as the 'Cats close out the non-conference season with a 7-5 record.
The Wildcats never trailed in the win over Presentation College, an NAIA school located in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The 'Cats led by as many as 18 points in the first half and stretched their lead to 42 in the second half.
Weber State shot 47 percent from the field and held Presentation to just 25 percent shooting, the second lowest percentage by an opponent this season. The Wildcats had a season-low four turnovers, compared to 21 by the Saints and WSU was 17 of 19 from the free throw line. Presentation was just 4 of 19 from 3-point range but the Saints outrebounded the Wildcats 40-37.
Four Wildcats were in double figures led by Jerrick Harding and Ryan Richardson with 16 points each. Richardson knocked down three 3-pointers and Harding had a career-high five assists and had three steals.
Senior Dusty Baker added a season-high 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds while Zach Braxton had his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Weber State improves to 6-0 at home this season and has won seven straight home games. The Wildcats will open Big Sky play next Saturday, Dec. 30 with a home game against Idaho State.
