Weber State falls 5-2 to Seattle

Weber State women's tennis team took on Seattle University Saturday afternoon and fell 5-2. 

"Today was another very close match that could have gone either way," assistant coach Mark Roberts said. "Seattle played a little better than us near the end and found a way to win. Dominique and Emily both played excellent singles matches. We look forward to playing Boise State tomorrow to try and keep working on competing hard for every point in ever position in the line up."

Seattle started the match by claiming all three doubles matches earning the doubles point. 

In singles play, Seattle picked up a win in the No. 1 spot giving them a 2-0 lead. Emily Tanner in the No. 6 spot defeated Audrey Scott 7-6 (4), 6-3 to put WSU on the board. 

Dominique Beauvais followed that up with a win in the No. 3 spot by defeating Barbara Carey 7-6 (3), 6-3.

Seattle finished out the match with wins in the remianing singles spots giving them  the 5-2win over Weber State. 

The Wildcats are now 0-5 overall on the season and will take on Boise State tomorrow before returning home to host four consecutive matches.
