Weber State falls 7-0 to Utah

SALT LAKE CITY - Weber State women's tennis took on the University of Utah Sunday afternoon and fell 7-0 to the Utes.

Utah started off by claiming wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots claiming the doubles point going into singles play.

In singles play, all the Wildcats put up solid efforts. Dominique Beauvais fell 4-6 to Jena Cheng in the first set of the No. 3 spot but Beauvais came back and picked up a 6-3 win in the second set but ultiamately fell in the tie breaker 10-6.

"Dominique played a great singles match today and just came up short against Cheng who is a very solid player," said assistant coach Mark Roberts.

Weber State now falls to 1-11 overall on the season and sit at 1-2 in Big Sky play.

The Wildcats will hit the road to Idaho State Friday, March 31 before hosting Northern Colorado on Sunday, April 2.
