Senior takes 24th at NCAA meet

Weber State senior Ellie Child saw her season and career come to an end Thursday night at the NCAA Championships. 

Child posted a time of 10:24.92 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to finish 24th overall in the event.. Child fell with approximately three laps to go that dropped her back in the race. 

She earns USTFCCCA honorable mention honors for her performance. 

The race wraps up an outstanding career for Child who qualified for the NCAA Championships in cross country and outdoor track and field this season. She also won Biig Sky individual titles in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track during the year.
