The NCAA First Round meet will be held May 27-30 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Weber State women's track and field has qualified five athletes to compete in the 2026 NCAA West First Round meet.

The top 48 athletes in each event in the west region qualify for the first round meet, which will be held May 27-30 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The top 12 finishers in each event at the region meet will advance to the NCAA Championships.

The women will compete on Thursday and Saturday at the meet, which will be streamed live on ESPN+.

WSU also has eight men's athletes competing at the first round meet, and the 13 Wildcats are tied for the third most to ever qualify for the NCAA First Round meet since it began in 2013.

Head coach Lindsey Anderson and the Wildcats will have three athletes in the steeplechase, one in the 800 meters, and one in the hammer throw.

The top ranked Wildcat is Saga Hagelin, who enters the NCAA First Round meet ranked fifth in the west in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She posted a career best time of 9:56.69 in the event at the Big Sky Championships and finished second overall. The time is the fifth-best in Weber State history and positions her fifth in the west region.

Also qualifying in the steeplechase is Audrey Cazier, who is ranked 33rd with a time of 10:17.81, which she set at the Big Sky Championships to finish seventh. That time is also the 10th-fastest in WSU history.

Daneille Brow also qualified in the steeplechase with a time of 10:23.27. She finished eighth at the conference meet and is ranked 47th in the west region.

Charlotte Wilkinson is 46th in the 800 meters. She posted a time of 2:06.90 earlier this year, which is the second-fastest in Weber State history and is .02 seconds behind the school record. She earned All-Big Sky honors by finishing third in the 800 meters at the conference championships.

Senior Alyssa Hansen Freestone has qualified for the NCAA West First Round meet in the hammer throw. She is 47th in the region heading into the meet with a mark of 188-11, which ranks second in WSU history. She finished second in the hammer at the Big Sky Championships.

The NCAA Championships will be held June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon.
