Braxton, Harding lead Wildcats past SUU 92-76

OGDEN - Jerrick Harding and Zach Braxton each tied career-highs as Weber State defeated Southern Utah 92-74 Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats improved to 9-6 overall and 2-1 in Big Sky play as they wrapped up a six-game homestand.
WSU led by 11 points at halftime but SUU cut the lead to three points with 11:26 to play. The Wildcats responded with a 19-5 run over the next four minutes to take a 17-point lead and never looked back.
Weber State shot 56 percent and held SUU to 37 percent shooting. The Wildcats also outrebounded the Thunderbirds 38-32 and knocked down 10 3-pointers.
Harding tied his career-high and reached 30 or more points for the third time this season as he finished with 31 points with four rebounds and two assists. He continues to lead the Big Sky in scoring at 21.5 points per game.
Braxton tied career-highs in points and rebounds as he finished with 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. He was 6 of 8 from the field and 10 of 11 from the free throw line.
Ryan Richardson added 16 points with four 3-pointers and Dusty Baker added 11 points, a career-high eight assists and seven rebounds.
After six-straight home games, Weber State now hits the road for two games this week playing at Northern Colorado Thursday and at North Dakota on Saturday.
