Weber State hosts SEMO in FCS Playoffs Second Round

THE GAME
• Weber State football will host Southeast Missouri in the second round of the 2018 NCAA FCS Playoffs Saturday, December 1 at Stewart Stadium.Â
• Saturday's game will kickoff at 2 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN3 as well as Watch ESPN and the ESPN app with Mike Watts and Tyoka Jackson calling the action. Â
• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call.Â

OPENING DRIVEÂ
• Weber State is competing in the playoffs for the third straight year and the seventh time in its history. The Wildcats earned the No. 2 seed in the playoffs, the first time the team has ever been seeded in the playoffs. Â
• The Wildcats won back-to-back Big Sky Conference titles for the first time in school history, finishing with a 7-1 conference record. Â
• The Wildcats are 9-2 overall and have won six straight games heading into the playoffs. WSU is ranked third in the nation in the STATS poll, the highest ranking in school history.Â
• Weber State had 19 players earn Big Sky All-Conference honors, including a school-record 13 players named to the first team.Â
• Southeast Missouri is competing in the playoffs for just the second time in its history. SEMO is 9-3 on the season and finished in second place in the Ohio Valley Conference at 6-2. The Redhawks defeated Stony Brook 28-14 in the first round of the playoffs.Â
• Head coach Jay Hill is in his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 35-25 overall and is 27-13 in Big Sky games.Â
• The Redhawks are coached by Tom Matukewicz who is in his fifth season at SEMO.
• The Wildcats have won eight straight home games and 11 of their last 12 at home.
• This will be the first ever December home game for Weber State.Â
• This is the first meeting ever between the two schools and will be the first game ever for the Wildcats against a team from the Ohio Valley Conference.Â
