Weber State falls 6-0 to Stanford

Weber State softball finished out the Mary Nutter Classic Monday afternoon falling to Stanford 6-0.
"We need to do the little things better to see success," said head coach Mary Kay Amicone. "We'll see what we are made of with another challenging tourney this weekend."
In the first innings both teams went three up three down. In the top of the second inning, a Weber State error helped Stanford load the bases and the Cardinals hit a single to right field that put them on the board. Another Wildcat error and Cardinal walk put two more across the plate and WSU trailed 3-0 by the end of the second.
Stanford was able to get one more run across in the top of the fifth inning that ultimately led to WSU falling 6-0 to the Cardinals.
Weber State now drops to 3-7 overall on the season. The Wildcats will head back to Calif. this week to take on Hawaii and Loyola Marymount in the LMU tournament. WSU's first home game is March 30 and 31st against Sacramento State.
