Wildcats fall 6-3 to Rainbow Wariors

Weber State softball had just one game today in the LMU tournament and fell to Hawaii 6-3.
The game started off with lots of action. In the top of the first, Hawaii scored two runs off of three hits to get things rolling.
In the bottom of the first, McKinley Brinkerhoff started things off with a single to short stop and then stole second to put herself into scoring position.
Rae Gall followed after with a double to right center that scored Brinkerhoff putting the Wildcats on the board. Ashlyn Visser then got up and knocked one over the center field fence for two RBIs. After the first inning of play, Weber State had a 3-2 lead over Hawaii.
The second and third innings remained scoreless for both teams. In the top of the fourth Hawaii was able to get two more across the plate to take a 4-3 lead and then later in the sixth pushed two more across to take a 6-3 lead over the Wildcats.
The Wildcats weren't able to get anything going after that and ended up falling with a final score of 6-3.
Weber State is now 5-8 overall on the season and has one more day at Loyola Marymount where they will have a double header with LMU Sunday, Feb. 25.
