OGDEN – Weber State women's tennis team had their first home match of the season against Boise State and unfortunately got swept 7-0.
"Today was a good match by the ladies against a solid Boise State team," said head coach Mark Roberts. "Again we competed hard and had some close matches. We are still learning as a team to make every point count and become a group of people who work tirelessly to win every point. Every match we play is an opportunity to keep improving in this area."
"I can't wait to get to North Dakota this Friday and start conference play. This is a special group of women and I think they are just as excited to improve on our conference performance from last year."
BSU started by taking the doubles point. In the No. 1 spot, WSU's Pei_Hsuan and Emily Tanner pulled out the victory 7-5.
In singles action, Morgan Dickason won her first set 6-0 but then fell 6-3 in the second. With things tied up it went into a tiebreaker where Dickason fell 10-7.
Weber State is now 2-5 overall on the season and hits the road to take on North Dakota next week before returning home to host Southern Utah.
