2018 Soccer Signing Day

OGDEN - Weber State soccer  is excited to announce the signing of seven Wildcats to for the 2018 season. Aubrey Van Orden, Isabella Morrison, Mekell Moss, Nixie Hernandez, Olivia Barton, Rylee Hunsaker and Taylor Scadlock will all join the Wildcat family next fall.
"We are very excited about our 2018 recruiting class," said head coach Tim Crompton. "Along with these incoming players, we have been looking forward to signing day. We have a returning squad that is hungry to compete with a lot to prove this fall. We anticipate the addition of these freshman will add to our depth and overall competitive mindset this fall."
Morrison is a 5-8 defender from West Haven, Utah. She was a four year letter winner in soccer at Fremont High School. She helped Fremont to back-to-back Regional Championship titles and helped her team to the state finals in 2017. Â She was named the junior varsity MVP her sophomore year of high school and went on to be named the defensive MVP her senior year. She played her club ball for Wasatch and La Roca DA.
Scadlock is a 5-2 middle blocker from West Haven, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Roy High School. Scadlock earned 5A All-State Honorable mention her senior year. She was also named to the All-Area First Team as a starter. She was also earned Region 1 All-Academic Honors. She played her club ball for Wasatch and La Roca.
Moss is a 5-8 goalkeeper from Ogden, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Northrdige High School. Moss was a 6A All-State Honorable mention honors her senior year. She was also named to the All-Area First Team. She was recognized as the Standard Star in 2017. She played her club ball for Avalanche and La Roca.
Hunsaker is a 5-8 defender from Plain City, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Fremont High School. Hunsaker helped her team to the 2016 5A Regional Championships and were 5A State finalists that same year. In 2015, she helped Fremont to the 5A Regional Championships and the 5A State semi-finals. She played club ball for La Roca DA.
Hernandez is a 5-6 midfielder and forward from Riverton, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Cottonwood High School. In her junior year of high school she was given the Coaches Award for her outstanding performances and as a senior she received the Forward Award for her efforts. She played club ball for La Roca.

Nelson is a 5-5 defender from Mountain Green, Utah. She was a three year starter and varsity letter winner at Syracuse High School for soccer. She was a 5A All-State Honorable Mention in 2016. She was named to the All-Region first team in 2016. She was also awarded as the Defensive MVP for Syracuse High School in 2016. She played her club ball for La Roca.
The Wildcats also added Trinity Kerr to the 2018 roster this year. Kerr graduated from Weber High School early and enrolled in classes at Weber State in January.
Kerr is a 5-8 midfielder from North Ogden, Utah. She was a three year starter and varsity letter winner at Weber High School for soccer. She helped her high school team to the state championships in 2015. Her club team went to the Utah State Cup Championships for five consecutive years. She also helped her club team to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in back-to-back years from 2015-2016. Kerr played her club ball for La Roca.

Van Orden is a midfielder from Plain City, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Fremont High School in soccer. She led her team to the state championship in 2017 Â and was an All-State honorable mention. She played her club soccer for Rampage and La Roca.

Isabella Morrison – Defense – 5-8
Morrison is a 5-8 defender from West Haven, Utah. She was a four year letter winner in soccer at Fremont High School. She helped Fremont to back-to-back Regional Championship titles and helped her team to the state finals in 2017. Taylor Scadlock – Midfield – 5-2

Mekell Moss – Goalkeeper – 5-8

Rylee Hunsaker – Defense – 5-8

Nixie Hernandez – Midfield/Forward – 5-6
Hernandez is a 5-6 midfielder and forward from Riverton, Utah. She was a four year starter and varsity letter winner at Cottonwood High School. Olivia Barton – Midfield – 5-8
Barton is a 5-8 midfielder from Bountiful, Utah. She was a three year starter and varsity letter winner at Woods Cross High School for soccer and basketball. She was named to the Academic All-State her senior year for soccer. She played her club ball for Forza and La Roca.Â

Grace Nelson – Defense – 5-5
Nelson is a 5-5 defender from Mountain Green, Utah. She was a three year starter and varsity letter winner at Syracuse High School for soccer. She was a 5A All-State Honorable Mention in 2016.
