Weber State women's tennis competed in one of the final two matches of the season today and fell to Idaho 6-1.
"This was an awesome effort by the girls today," said head coach Mark Roberts. "We were right there with one of the top teams in the conference. Doubles and singles were both super close, but unfortunately not much luck went our way and Idaho found a way to win the close matches. We have a quick turnaround tonight and I can't wait to watch our ladies compete against Eastern Washington tomorrow."
In doubles action only one Wildcat duo came out victorious in Sara Parker and Dominique Beauvais. The pair beat Lucia Badillos and Laura Spataro 6-4 in the No. 2 spot.
In singles action Morgan Dickason has maintained her consistency by picking up another win in the No. 5 spot. She defeated Shion Watabe 6-4, 7-6 (2) for the lone Weber State point of the match.
Weber State is now 10-12 overall on the season and 5-5 in Big Sky Conference play. Weber State takes on Eastern Washington tomorrow in the final regular season match of the season before heading off to the Big Sky Championships in Phoenix, Ariz. April 26-28.
