Chugg to Tee It Up at U.S. Women's Open

OGDEN, Utah -- Former Wildcat standout golfer Kelsey Chugg will fulfill a lifelong dream on Thursday morning as she begins play in the U.S. Women's Open at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Shoal Creek, Alabama.
Chugg secured a spot in the nation's top women's golf championship with her victory at the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur championship at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas last November.Â
Chugg played with the Wildcats from 2011-2013 and produced a stroke average of 77.08. She finished in the top-20 in 12 tournaments over her two years at WSU, and three times earned individual medalist honors.
Since her collegiate career came to an end, Chugg has continued to find success on the course, winning the Utah State Women's Amateur on four occasions.Â
Chugg will tee off at the Open at 7:19 a.m. Mountain time on Thursday and at 12:59 p.m. MT on Friday. Live scoring throughout the tournament can be found here.
