Wildcats Wrap Up Rose City Collegiate with 6th Place Finish

The Weber State women's golf team posted its third-straight top-8 finish of the season on Tuesday as the Wildcats wrapped up the Rose City Collegiate at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore. with a 6th place finish.
Weber State opened the tournament with a first round 313 on Monday morning, but rebounded in the afternoon with a field-best 293 to jump several spots on the leaderboard into 5th place overnight. The Wildcats closed out the tournament with a final round 312, slipping one spot to the 6th position with a tournament total of 918.
Kirsten Convoy shot rounds of 77-76-75 for a 12-over-par 228 to tie for a team-best 19th place. Taitum Beck shot 77-75-78 to tie for 22nd place at 230, while Gabby DeNunzio finished 25th at 231. DeNunzio's tournament was highlighted by a 2-under-par 70 in Monday's second round, in which she carded five birdies.
Morgan Bentley went 77-74 on Monday to lead the Wildcats on the opening day, but slipped into a tie for 33rd with a final round 83 for a total of 234. Kameryn Basye rounded out the team with a total of 239 to tie for 48th place.
Cal State Fullerton won the team title, shooting a three-round total of 886 to finish six shots ahead of tournament-host Portland State, who finished second at 892.
Eastern Washington's Madalyn Ardueser shot a 1-under-par total of 215 to earn individual medalist honors. Ardueser finished four shots clear of a trio of players in a tie for second at 219.
