Wildcat soccer signs seven players for 2020

OGDEN, UT - It's Signing Day, and the Wildcat soccer family is growing!
Weber State University women's soccer Interim Head Coach Meagan Thunell is pleased to announce the signing of seven players to a National Letter of Intent.
The seven new Wildcats feature six local players, and one from out-of-state. Joining Weber State as part of the 2020 signing class are: Olivia Tucker, Alexis Simpson, Shea Christiansen, Â Samantha Rollins, Andelin Baldwin, Hailey Price, and Kara Hartle.
Olivia Tucker (Queen Creek, AZ) is a 5-foot-4 central defender from Higley High School in Gilbert, Arizona. She played her club soccer for SC Del Sol, and helped lead the team to become the ECNL National League Champions in 2017.
Alexis Simpson (Sandy, UT) is a 5-foot-10 midfield/forward from Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She played club soccer for Utah Avalanche, and played high school for Brighton High School, where she lettered each year. Simpson also earned All-State Second Team her junior year.Â
Shea Christiansen (Pleasant Grove, UT) is a 5-foot-5 defender from Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She played club soccer for La Roca FC, and helped lead her team to become Utah State Cup champions in 2019, National League champions in 2018, and DPL champions in 2018 and 2019. Christiansen lettered in soccer each year of high school, and lettered in basketball as a sophomore.
Samantha Rollins (West Jordan, UT) is a 5-foot-10 midfielder/defender from Copper Hills High School in West Jordan, Utah. Rollins played club soccer for Utah Soccer Alliance (USA) where she helped her team win Utah State Cup in 2017 and 2018, Region IV Championships in 2018, and Surf Cup Best of the Best Champions in 2019. Rollins also led the Copper Hills High School women's soccer team to become the UHSAA Region 3 Champions in 2016 and 2017.
Andelin Baldwin (Pleasant Grove, UT) is a 5-foot-4 outside defender/midfielder from American Fork High School in American Fork, Utah. Baldwin played club soccer for Utah Soccer Alliance (USA) where she helped her team win Utah State Cup in 2017 and 2018, Region IV Championships in 2018, and Surf Cup Best of the Best Champions in 2019. She lettered in high school soccer from 2016 to 2019, and helped her team become the 6A State Champions in 2017. Baldwin also participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) in 2018 and 2019.
Hailey Price (South Ogden, UT) is a 5-foot-8 central defender from Bonneville High School in Washington Terrace, Utah. Price played club soccer for Avalanche ECNL, and high school soccer for Bonneville High. She lettered in high school soccer in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019; earned First Team All-State for Deseret News in 2017 and 2018; First Team All-State for the Tribune in 2017; First Team All-Area for the Standard Examiner in 2017; and First Team and All-Area for Deseret News in 2018.
Kara Hartle (Orem, UT) is a 5-foot-6 midfield/forward from Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah. She played club soccer for Sparta United, and high school soccer for Timpanogos High School. Hartle lettered in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and led her high school team to become the 2018 Region Champions. While playing for Sparta United, Hartle helped her team to the Deseret Premier League Championships in 2019, and Utah State Cup champions in 2014 and 2015.
