Four Wildcats named to HERO Sports All-America team

OGDEN - Four Weber State football players have been named to the HERO Sports FCS All-America team.

Senior defensive end Jonah Williams was named to the first-team and junior kicker Trey Tuttle was named to the second-team. Sophomore running back Josh Davis and senior defensive end Adam Rodriguez were both named to the third-team.Â

Williams earns All-America honors for the first time in his career. He is fifth in the conference in sacks with 7.5 this season and ranks ninth in WSU history in sacks with 15. Williams was named the Co-Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year.Â

Tuttle has set a Weber State single-season record with 23 field goals this season, which is the most of any player in the country this year. He ranks seventh in the country in field goals per game and 12th in field goal percentage. This is Tuttle's second career All-America honors.Â

Josh Davis has earned HERO Sports All-America honors for the second-straight season. He ranks sixth in the Big Sky in rushing this season at 76.8 yards per game. He has rushed for 1,075 yards this season, which is the 12th most rushing yards in a season. He also has 11 rushing touchdowns. He ranks fifth in WSU history in career rushing with 2,437 yards.Â

Adam Rodriguez earns All-America honors for the second-straight season. He is 16th in the nation in sacks with 10.5 this season. He tied a WSU school record with four sacks in the FCS Quarterfinal win over Montana. He now ranks fourth in school history in career sacks with 22.Â

The Wildcats are into the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs for the first time in school history. WSU is 11-3 overall and won the Big Sky title for the third-straight season with a 7-1 record.Â
