Jonah Williams earns STATS FCS All-America honors

More All-America honors for Weber State football. WSU senior Jonah Williams has been named to the STATS FCS All-America Second-Team.

Williams has been a team captain for the Wildcat this season and helped Weber State to an 11-win season, a Big Sky title and a trip to the FCS Semifinals for the first time in school history.Â

Earlier this season, he was named the Big Sky Co-Defensive Player of the Year. On the season, Williams is fifth in the Big Sky in sacks with 7.5 this season and has recorded 57 tackles this year with 10 tackles for loss. He also has five quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.Â

The Meridian, Idaho native has played in 53 career games at Weber State and has been part of the winningest senior class in WSU history. He ranks ninth in Weber State history in career with 15. He also has 27 career tackles for loss with 189 total tackles. He also has four pass deflections, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks.Â

Williams was also named to the HERO Sports FCS All-America team. He is married to current WSU volleyball player Kennedy Williams.Â
