Weber State women's tennis signs Sicely Ferreira

OGDEN, UT - The Weber State University women's tennis team is excited to announce the signing of Sicely Ferreira to a National Letter of Intent.
Ferreira, the daughter of WSU's Director of Tennis Brad Ferreira, played high school at Woods Cross High School in Woods Cross, Utah. While in high school, Ferreira played #1 singles each of her four years and only lost one regular season match, she also won the Region championship every year. She made semi-finals in the State Championship her freshman and sophomore years, and lost in the State Championship finals her senior year.
Ferreira represented the Intermountain in the National Zonal Competition in 10s, 12s, 14s, and under 16s.
"We are very excited that Sicely is joining our team," said Head Women's Tennis Coach, RuthAnn Allen. "She is a very talented and experienced player that will impact our program. I have watched Sicely for many years and can't wait to see her growth as a college player."
Ferreira has one sister, Francesca, who attends Weber State University in the Musical Theatre department. Her mother, Julie, works for Davis County School District.Â
