Wildcats open spring football camp March 12

Are you ready for some football? Spring is in the air and it's time for some Weber State football.Â
The back-to-back Big Sky Conference champion Weber State football team will open spring practice for the 2019 season next week. The Wildcats will have 15 practices during spring camp and will conclude with the annual spring game on April 13.Â
The spring practice schedule is below. Most practices will be held at Stewart Stadium with others taking place on the WSU practice fields. The spring game is scheduled for April 13 at 1 p.m. Schedule is always subject to change.

Head coach Jay Hill returns for his sixth season at Weber State and the Wildcats are coming off another historic season in 2018.
Weber State won back-to-back Big Sky titles for the first time in school history. The Wildcats finished 10-3 overall and advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs for the second straight season. Weber State also was ranked as high as third in the nation during the season, the highest ranking in school history.Â
The Wildcats had 19 players earn All-Big Sky honors, including a school-record 13 players named to the first team. WSU also had seven players earn All-America honors last season.Â
The Wildcats return three players (Josh Davis, Adam Rodriguez and Rashid Shaheed) that earned All-America honors in 2018. The Wildcats also return nine players that earned All-Big Sky honors. Josh Davis returns after being named the National Freshman of the Year.
Weber State opens the 2019 season on Aug. 31 at San Diego State, with the home opener set for Sept. 7 against Cal Poly.Â
