WSU closes out season with 5-2 loss against Sacramento State

Weber State University's men's tennis ended the regular season at home with a 5-2 loss against Portland State Sunday morning.Â

Sacramento clinched the first victory of the day on the No.1 court. Cezary Walkusz and Keith McMullin won their match on the No.3 court to tie it 1-1. With the doubles point on the line, Paul Ohde and Bo-Han Li battled tough but ultimately fell 7-6 to give Sacramento the doubles point.Â
In singles play, Sacramento clinched four straight wins to claim the overall match. Walkusz claimed victory for the second time as he defeated Roberts in the No.5 spot. Junhao Ye gave WSU its second match point and last victory of the season with his third set victory.Â
WSU ended the season with a 2-8 in Big Sky Conference and 4-17 overall record.
