Wildcat football heads to Nevada Saturday

THE GAME
• Weber State is back on the road for to face another FBS opponent as the Wildcats head to Reno to take the Nevada Wolf Pack Saturday afternoon.Â
• Saturday's game will kickoff at 4:05 p.m. Pacific time from Mackay Stadium in Reno. The game will be televised on ESPN3 with Trey Bender and Al Groh on the call.Â
• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO radio and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call.Â

OPENING DRIVEÂ
• Weber State 1-1 on the season following a 41-24 win over Cal Poly in the home opener on Saturday night. The Wildcats opened the season with a 6-0 loss at San Diego State.Â
• WSU moved up to sixth in the nation in the latest FCS polls. Weber State has won back-to-back Big Sky Conference titles for the first time in school history, and has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs in each of the past two seasons.Â
• Nevada is also 1-1 on the year. The Wolf Pack opened the season with a win over Purdue before a 77-6 loss at Oregon last Saturday.Â
• The Wolf Pack are coached by Jeff Norvell who is in his third season as head coach.Â
• Jay Hill is his sixth season as head coach of the Wildcats. Hill has a career record of 37-27 at Weber State.Â
• Weber State sophomore Josh Davis was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in Saturday's win.Â
• Nevada and Weber State were longtime rivals in the Big Sky Conference but this will be the first meeting between the two schools since 1993.Â
• This will be the 16th all-time meeting with Nevada holding a 9-6 series lead. Weber State won the last two games in 1992 and 1993 in Reno, which are Weber State's last two wins over an FBS opponent.Â
• This season Weber State is celebrating the 100th anniversary of football at Weber State and the 150th anniversary of college football.Â
