Weber State football up to fourth in national rankings

OGDEN - Following a home win over Northern Iowa in a top-10 showdown, the Weber State football team has moved up in the national rankings. 

The Wildcats are now ranked fourth in the nation in the STATS FCS poll and fifth in the AFCA Coaches poll. WSU is now the highest-ranked school from the Big Sky Conference. 

Weber State is 2-2 on the season and is coming off a 29-17 win over seventh-ranked Northern Iowa last Saturday at Stewart Stadium. 

The Big Sky boasts three teams in the top 10 in the STATS poll and five in the top 25. The Wildcats are fourth in the poll with Montana State ranked sixth, Montana eighth, UC Davis 12th and Eastern Washington 22nd. 

The Wildcats open Big Sky play this Saturday at the University of Idaho. The Wbwe State Homecoming Game is set for Oct. 12 against Southern Utah.
