Weber State women's basketball fell 81-52 to Montana State.

How it happened:Weber State started the game off hanging tight to the Bobcats. WSU had a three point lead going into the halfway point of the first quarter. Montana State later went on a 10-2 run to end the first quarter taking a 17-11 lead.

In the second quarter Weber State held Montana State scoreless for three minutes. MSU went 1-8 from the field over that time while WSU went on a 5-0 run. MSU maintained the control over WSU for a 38-22 lead at half time.

Weber State lagged in the second half and Montana State took off for a 30 point lead. The Wildcats biggest quarter was the fourth as they put up 17 points with Liz Graves having nine in the fourth alone. The Bobcats finished with an 81-52 win over the Wildcats.

Leaders: Weber State had two score in double figures. Graves led WSU with 17 points. She didn't miss a shot from the beyond the arc or from the free throw line. Ula Chamberlin also recorded double digit scoring with 10 on the night. Ashley Thoms and Daryn Hickok each were on the brink of double figures ending the game with eight points each.

Graves and Jadyn Matthews led WSU on the boards with five a piece.

Comparison: Weber State shot 35 percent from the field, 41 percent from the three and 77 percent from the free throw line. WSU ended the game with 31 total rebounds. WSU had 22 points in the paint and 18 off the bench. WSU also ended the night with nine assists and 23 turnovers.

Montana State shot 44 percent from the field, 33 percent from the three point line and 74 percent from the line. The Bobcats ended the night with 43 total rebounds. MSU had 40 points in the paint and 30 off the bench and capitalized on 23 points off of turnovers. Montana State had 14 assists and 13 turnovers.

Notes to know: Weber State is now 3-14 overall on the season and 1-7 in Big Sky Conference play.
