Wildcats make history and roll to win over Centurions

OGDEN - After two weeks without a game, Weber State returned to action and made history in a 124-44 victory over Yellowstone Christian College Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.Â

Weber State knocked down a school record 22 3-pointers. WSU was 22 of 33 from 3-point range. The 80-point win is also tied for the largest margin of victory in school history.Â

In addition, the Wildcats also had 37 assists, the second-most assists in a game in school history.Â

WSU shot 57 percent from the field and held the Centurions to 27 percent shooting. WSU also won the rebounding battle 44-24. Yellowstone Christian was 2 of 16 from 3-point range.Â

All 15 Wildcats that played scored in the game. Four Wildcats scored in double figures, led by Darweshi Hunter who finished with a career-high 17 points with four 3-pointers and dished out five assists.Â

The Wildcats improve to 5-3 on the season. WSU will be right back in action Sunday night, hosting Tarleton State at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
