'Cats fall in first Big Sky road game at Idaho State

Weber State women's basketball hit the road for the first time in Big Sky play on Saturday afternoon but the Wildcats fell 72-53 to Idaho State in Pocatello.
The Bengals jumped out to a 21-14 lead after the first quarter and led 35-25 at halftime. Weber State cut the lead to four points early in the third quarter before Idaho State closed the third quarter on a 17-5 run and never looked back.
The Wildcats outrebounded the Bengals 41-38 but ISU shot 47 percent from the field and held Weber State to 32 percent shooting.
Kori Pentzer, a native of Melba, Idaho, led the Wildcats with a season-high 14 points. She was 6 of 11 from the field and knocked down two 3-pointers. She also had four rebounds, a block and a steal.
Shianne Johnson added 13 points with four rebounds and Emma Torbert had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Saturday's game was the first of four-straight scheduled road games for Weber State. The 'Cats will play at Eastern Washington on Jan. 7 and Jan. 9.
