Wildcat volleyball takes Grizzlies down 3-0

MISSOULA, MT - The Weber State University women's volleyball team began their second weekend in the 2021 spring season with a 3-0 win against the Montana Grizzlies. The Wildcats are now 3-0 in the season.
The Wildcats played very well in the first set, earning 3 aces, and 16 kills. Weber State had high energy and kept their momentum going throughout the set. The Grizzlies put up a big battle as the score was close throughout the match. The Wildcats took the first set point 25-23 against the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies stepped their energy up in the second set, and the Wildcats struggled to return the ball on defense in the first half of the set. Though set two was an intense battle against Montana, Weber State fought hard and went on a scoring streak towards the end of the set. The Wildcats took the second set 25-20.
In the third set, the Wildcats took control of the game. Weber State had 14 kills, 1 ace, and 5 blocks against Montana. The match finished 25-15.
Dani Nay led the Wildcats in statistics with 12 kills, 2 aces, and 10 digs. Rylin Adams had 10 kills, 2 aces, and 7 digs. Sam Schiess and Caroline Clark both had 7 kills.
