• After two wins to open the season, including a road win at Duquesne on Monday night, the Weber State basketball team is off to Florida for three games at the Jersey Mike's Classic in St. Petersburg.
• The Wildcats will play UMass on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET (3:30 MT), Ball State on Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET (3:30 MT) and Green Bay on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET (10 a.m. MT) at the Jersey Mike Classic, which is held at the McArthur Center at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.
• Thursday's and Friday's games will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. Sunday's game will be streamed on Pluto TV. All three games will be broadcast on the radio on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with live stats links at WeberStateSports.com.
• Weber State enters the tournament with a 2-0 record. The Wildcats opened their 60th season of Division I basketball with a 100-60 win over Western Colorado last Tuesday, then followed that up with a 63-59 win at Duquesne on Monday night in Pittsburgh. Weber State trailed by 11 points early in the second half before rallying to win. • Senior transfer Koby McEwen has led the Wildcats in the first two games, averaging 18.5 points per game. He scored a season-high 21 points with five 3-pointers in Monday's win at Duquesne. He is 7 of 11 from 3-point range in the two games. McEwen played two seasons at Utah State, then two seasons at Marquette before transferring to Weber State this summer.
• Dillon Jones, the 2021 Big Sky Freshman of the Year, has had two double-doubles in the two games this season. He has 12 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds in Monday's win. Through two games, Jones is 12th in the nation in rebounding at 12 per game and third in defensive rebounds per game.
• Another senior transfer, JJ Overton, is second on the team in scoring at 13 points per game through two games. He is also seventh in the nation in steals at 4.0 per game and is shooting 61 percent from the field. Overton transfered to Weber State this summer after two seasons at Utah Valley.
• Weber State was picked to finish second in the Big Sky preseason polls. The Wildcats were 17-6 last season and tied for second in the conference at 12-3. WSU returns four players and 10 starters off last year's team. WSU also welcomes four new players, including three Division I transfers.
• Head coach Randy Rahe is back for his 16th season at Weber State. Rahe is WSU's and the Big Sky Conference's all-time leader in wins and games coached. In 16 years, Rahe has a career record of 297-179 (.624) at Weber State and needs just three more wins to reach 300 for his career. He has led the Wildcats to five Big Sky titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances. He has coached six Big Sky MVP's, including NBA superstar Damian Lillard.
• This will be the first meeting ever between Weber State and UMass and is the second straight Atlantic 10 team for the Wildcats. Weber State has played Ball State just one time, winning in 2002 in Alaska. WSU has played Green Bay twice before, splitting the series with a win in 2002 and a loss in 2004.
• Weber State is in the midst of playing five straight games away from home. The Wildcats will play at Dixie State on Saturday, Nov. 27, before returning home to open Big Sky Conference play on Thursday, December 2 against Northern Arizona.
