Wildcats Open Big Sky Tournament Play in Ogden

It's tourney time in Ogden.

On November 18-20, the Big Sky Conference Volleyball tournament will be held in Ogden, Utah at Swenson Gym.

This is the first time that Weber State has hosted the Big Sky Conference tournament, and with a win in the final match of the regular season against Southern Utah, the Wildcats clinched the right to host the 2022Â conference tournament as well.

Weber State, the number one seed, will square off against the number eight seed Montana Grizzlies on Thursday in the nightcap at 7:00. The other quarterfinal matchups are as follows:

All matches will be held in Swenson Gym, and they'll all be broadcasted on ESPN+. Tickets to any and all of the Big Sky Conference tournament matches can be purchased online or by calling Weber State's ticket office at 801-626-8500.

Big Sky Tournament

-This is the first time in program history that the Wildcats will host the Big Sky Tournament.
-Weber State last hosted a postseason tournament in the 1987 season when the Mountain West tournament was played in Ogden. Weber State won the Big Sky Conference tournament the following year in 1988.
-The Wildcats clinched the right to host the 2022 Big Sky Conference tournament by winning the 2021 Big Sky regular season title.
-Weber State is making its 13th appearance in the Big Sky Tournament, and has an overall record of 10-11, including two conference tournament championships in 1988 and 2020-21.
-WSU has won at least a share of the last two Big Sky regular season titles, and is the defending Big Sky tournament champion.

-Montana holds the all-time lead against Weber State at 48-36.
-WSU has won the last six, and eight of the last nine against the Grizzlies.
-Weber State is 2-0 all-time against the Grizzlies in the Big Sky tournament.

-WSU is currently riding a school-record 25 match home winning streak at Swenson Gym, which is currently the longest home winning streak in the entire country.
-With Rylin Adams and Dani Nay on the roster, the Wildcats currently boast the last two Big Sky MVPs (Adams won in 2020-21, and Nay in 2021).
-The Wildcats led the Big Sky with four players named to the all-conference first team (Adams, Nay, Ashlyn Power, Sam Schiess).
-As a team, Weber State is tied for the conference lead in opponent hitting percentage (.178).
-The Wildcats are fifth in the nation in aces (201) per set (2.14/set).
-Adams leads the conference in kills (355) and kills per set (3.78).
-Nay is second in the nation in service aces (60) and third in the nation in aces per set (.64/set).
