Christian and Summer Allen both earn All-America honors

Christian was 16th in the men's race and Summer was 35th in the women's race at the NCAA Cross Country Championships to earn All-America honors.
The husband and wife duo are both All-Americans! Weber State's Christian and Summer Allen both earned All-America honors at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday in Tallahassee, Florida. It was the second All-American honor for each Wildcat.Â
Christian Allen finished 16th overall in the men's race, posting a time of 29:17.0 on the 10K course. It's his second All-American honors, after finishing 14th in 2019.Â
Summer Allen was 35th in the women's 6K race, finishing with a time of 19:54.3 to earn All-America honors for the second time this year. She was seventh at the NCAA Championships in March, the highest finish in Weber State history.Â
Allen began her career at Weber State by winning the Big Sky title as a freshman in 2013. She also competed at the NCAA Championships that season.Â
Since then, she served a church mission, got married to Christian and had a baby. The couple's 20 month old son Miles joined his parents at the NCAA meet.Â
In addition, Weber State's Billie Hatch also competed in the women's race, her first time at the NCAA Championships. Hatch finished 59th overall with a time of 20:12.0.Â
