Wildcats fall to Aggies 95-80

OGDEN - Utah State knocked down 15 3-pointers to beat Weber State 95-80 Wednesday night at the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats fell to 9-2 on the season. WSU is back home for another instate game Saturday night against BYU.
How it happened
Utah State scored the first 10 points of the game in the first three minutes of the game and never looked back.
The Wildcats came back and trailed by seven points at 31-24 with 8:49 to play after a second Koby McEwen 3-pointer, but Utah State went on an 8-0 run and to build the lead to 15.
The Aggies led 59-44 at halftime and shot 10 of 15 from 3-point range.
Weber State cut the lead to 11 points with 14:10 to play but a 15-5 run gave the Aggies a 21-point lead. The Wildcats were never closer than 16 points the rest of the way.
Numbers to know
Utah State shot 52 percent from the field and was 15 of 30 from 3-point range. The Aggies also outrebounded the Wildcats 40-29 and dished out 23 assists.
Weber State shot 45 percent from the field and was 9 of 25 from 3-point range.
Koby McEwen led the Wildcats with 26 points. He was 8 of 16 from the field and 4 of 11 from 3-point range.
Dillon Jones tied his career-high with 19 points on 7 of 10 shooting. He also grabbed 11 rebounds for his seventh double-double this season and dished out four assists.
JJ Overrton added 10 points for Weber State.
The loss snapped Weber State's 15-game home winning streak.

"We weren't disciplined defensively, especially in the first half and played a little frantic and didn't guard the way we had been. Utah State played great and made some tough shots. They got off to a great start and got in rhythm and we couldn't get them out of rhythm."
