BYU knocks off Weber State 89-71

Dillon Jones had a career-high 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.
OGDEN - BYU made 16 3-pointers and knocked off Weber State 89-71 Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.
How it happened
The Cougars made nine 3-pointers in the first half and held a 41-33 lead at halftime.
The Wildcats started the second half on an 11-3 run and tied the game at 44. But BYU responded with a 13-2 lead over the next four minutes to take an 11-point lead. The Wildcats were never closer than eight points the rest of the way.
Numbers to know
BYU finished the game 16 of 26 from 3-point range for 61 percent shooting. The Cougars shot 49 percent for the game and held Weber State to 41 percent. The Wildcats were 8 of 29 from 3-point range. The Cougars also outrebounded the Wildcats 38-27. Alex Barcello had 23 points with five 3-pointers to lead the Cougars with 18 points coming in the second half.
Dillon Jones led Weber State with a career-high 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting. He also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double through 12 games this season.
Koby McEwen added 15 points for the Wildcats. Dyson Koehler had nine points with two 3-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench.
