Wildcats drop home game 61-46 to Lady Griz

OGDEN - Weber State dropped the first game of a two-game series with Montana, falling 61-46 to the Lady Griz Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.
Montana held a 24-23 lead at halftime and outscored the Wildcats 16-7 in the third quarter. Weber State never got closer than eight points in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Griz finished the game shooting 39 percent from the field and held the Wildcats to 28 percent shooting, including 0 of 13 from 3-point range. WSU did force 19 Montana turnovers and recorded seven blocked shots and 13 steals.
Daryn Hickok led Weber State with 11 points and pulled down six rebounds. Emma Torbert pulled down a team-high eight rebounds to go along with seven points and recorded five blocked shots.
Vicky Parra had eight points and seven rebounds off the bench and Jadyn Matthews had seven points, seven rebounds and three steals.
The Wildcats will host the Lady Griz again on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Dee Events Center. A limited number of tickets are available for that game by calling the WSU Ticket Office at 801-626-8500.
